Empowering the Production of the Future
At Setso, we believe production teams deserve tools that make their work seamless, efficient, and enjoyable. Our mission is to streamline production management, foster collaboration, and free you from time-consuming admin, so you can focus on what truly matters—creativity, storytelling, and teamwork.

The Spark that Ignited Setso's Start
The need for Setso was born on the set of the film Line of Fire (Original: De Vuurlinie). During production, an unfortunate accident occurred when a weapons expert misloaded a gun, leading to an actor, Ilias Addab, being struck with a rubber bullet. Thankfully, no one was seriously harmed, but the incident exposed a critical gap in communication and clarity on set.
For Illias and Waldemar Torenstra, this was a wake-up call. In an industry where every second counts, missing crucial information in lengthy call sheets or having them in a language not everyone speaks is unacceptable. Inspired to make production work safer and more efficient, they set out to build Setso—a digital tool that puts accurate, accessible, and real-time information in the hands of every crew member, from weapons experts to lighting technicians and actors.
We’re here to do more than just simplify production workflows. Our mission is to create a digital ecosystem that transforms the audiovisual industry, supporting sustainability, inclusivity, and talent development. Setso empowers professionals by providing tools that streamline processes today while paving the way for a more connected, greener, and future-ready industry.
